Exactly the same problem as I had with my XDA IIi, I'm sure I've seen a registry hack to hide, unhide the battery icon ?
Can any point me in the right direction
Another registry hack & solution :
-Use a registry editor and open:
-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINCE\Services\Power
-Change ShowIcon from 0 to 1. (1 = Show Icon)
-Soft-reset
Thanks a lot - I've been wondering about that one as there is a battery icon in the System Tray until the extended ROM installs. Will try it out in a bit!

Hi,
I want to hide or disable the windows taskbar, the commandbar and the startmenu. I've tried to use a registry editor to deactivate the taskbar but it didn't work. My own application is in fullscreen mode,
but I want to hide the taskbar and the commandbar in other (not self programmed) applications, too.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you for answering...!
I 'm not that technical but I may give you a hint ... you may take a snapshot of the registry DB before and while running ftxBrowser application. It has an option to hide both task and title bars ... maybe this will show you the effective Key name & value
Thanks a lot,
but that doesn't help me...
FtxBrowser doesn't run on my pocket pc (mda 3.19.03).
haven't programmed the pda, but have done a number of windows apps. Try changing the size of the bar to 1 pixel wide.
Hey guys, just recently I notice that there is no clock on the upper right hand corner of the home screen. Before It would show the time but now it has somehow disappear. Does anyone know how to get the clock showing up again? I have gone tto clock and alarms under settings and it does show the proper time.
Thanks in advance
Is it possible another icon overlapping it? Did you just install a new program?
A number of things can cause this:
1) As stated by cayotte - May be another icon hiding it.
2) Installed some kind of task switcher which replaced it (Or hid it as 1 above).
3) Modified registry entry under \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell -> Specifically an incorrect value in TBOpt (Setting to 13 00 00 00 produces a clock and date in the taskbar by the way).
4) Desktop replacement software with clock disabled (Such as Wisbar advance)
on the lawer part of the today screen i have 7 small icons, i cant find the way to remove or change them. is there any way to do it?
Go into registry and delete the Launchentry which contains the value "TrayAp.exe" >>> HKLM\Init\Launch92
alternate, hardreset your device and break the automatically install. put the needed files manually to your mda ( except the unliked SP_Tray117_1100.CAB )

thanks
thanks alot bmod.
This is great (I've never used those icons and they take up space) but I also use photo Contacts Pro and this put's it's own little icon in there...so I can lose the O2, the battery status and the conection manager icon, but I can't get rid of the photocontacts icon.
so for me there's no point in changing this in the registry
infact I tried this and as I knew photo contacts put it's own icon in there (thought it might remove them all). Tried to reverse the registry change, but now all I have is the O2 icon, not the battery indicator or the connections manager icon...anyone know how to get them back??
Hi,
The TP2 is a nice machine.
Its still early, but there are 2 issues I would love to resolve:
When pressing the battery in the notification to get directly the battery status.
To add custom cities for the weather. (Tried this solution which worked fine on TP and Diamond: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408918)
Any suggestions?
Many thanks!
Hi Fidipaldi,
To change the notification bar to the old windows mobile style:
Open a registry editor and navigate to:
HKLM\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER\Flags
Change the value from 0 to 4
You will need to reboot the phone after changing this setting in the registry.
In regards to the custom cities for the weather: select the weather tab, click "Menu", select "Add Location", type in the name of the city and select it from the list.
I am using a ROM with Manila 2.5 and the settings above apply to it, yours may be a little different if you have a different version of Manila
for the battery status icon in the Notification Manager just install the Topaz Notification Manager in the second post of the CABs sticky & then reset.
Hello,
I've been trying to find a way to hide the battery indicator in the taskbar (I prefer to just have the Batti indicator).
In Schapp's Advanced Config the setting is already set to hide it, yet it still shows up, which leads me to believe TF3D has its own setting.
Can anyone shed some light on this (I've got the feeling the answer is staring me in the face)?
Danny
Hi
You have to make a choice: Either battery, or clock. As far as I know - you cant turn off both.
For disabling battery you need to hack your registry:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell "ShowTitleBarBattery" [DWORD=0]
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell "ShowTitleBarClock" [DWORD=1]
If both are set to 0 --> battery will show
If both are set to 1 --> clock will show
(RS: set both to 0, restart!)
dont forget to restart your device!
If these values are not in "shell" you need to create them. Also see:

hope this helps
