Hi
I've just installed WM5. When I open the slide-out keyboard, i see a little "distorsion" blinking up on the screen (sort of dark "spots" or whatever). Also, in some angles i can see some littly pinky dots (in perfect rows and cols) on the screen. Is it me or i've just haven't noticed these things yet?.... (Maybe because i used my device with the lowest backlight but now under WM5 it is set to max?..)

Question to the professional community:
We have two Qtek 9090 at work. They both are running on Windows Mobile 2003. Somehow, one has a much brighter screen than the other with the same settings for brightness. One is in English and the other in German and from a Swiss provider (Orange SPV2000). The ROM version is slightly different and one has a kind of slide for example in the backlight settings for the external, internal and brightness menu. The other simply has three tabs to click on. The Qtek 9090 in English has the lower horizontal menu in a rather gray, whereas the German has it in a lighter gray color with a little violett touch. Also, the blue background standard wallpaper appears much brighter on the German Version. Especially, in bright daylight the German is much better readable. I would like to find out, how I can change color settings or the Gamma of the Display on the English. It almost seems that the German Version uses some kind of Gamma Programm to increases brightness. Or is there generally a difference with different ROMs?
Thanks for your input!
ppcs like 696 have no differences in birhgt places no matter the backlight is on or off ,meaning we can save a lot of power during daytime by turn off the backlight.I have a program which can turn off the backlight. It's vital for its pure battery using time. There is another type of screen.if the backlight is off.you can see slightly changes on your screen.I'm planning weather to buy one or not by the screen type.thanks for anyone reply this.I'll update the program.
BOught.not light half reflection screen.over
I used to have an excellent screen on my Psion Revo. It had no backlight. It had a highly reflective backpanel, and I could see it in almost any light. However I always wanted a backlit screen so I could use it in the dim. It is a shame, but you cannot have both together. It's either reflective or it has the backlight - which is not reflective!
I borked something... For some reason when my keyboard (any keyboard that uses full screen) goes full screen the font color is changing to white. If it wasn't for the white background this would not be an issue. This happens in landscape, but portrait doesn't go full screen so it works fine.
Does anyone have any idea on how to change the font color in full screen only?
As a work-a-round I have installed a keyboard manager that changes the keyboard based on orientation. I am using SlideIt in landscape and FlexT9 in portrait. Occasionally I use hackers keyboard, but having same issue there. I have a habit of switching keyboards depending on my needs at that time.

What do you mean, ''keyboard that uses full screen''? Can you give an example of which keyboard app, which editor app (does it happen when you post on this forum, for example?), and what do you do to make it ''go full screen''?
(By the way, I am using Hackers' Keyboard. All the keys are there, and you can move the cursor with onscreen keys.)
In landscape using hackers keyboard or flext9, when the keyboard expands the entry field goes from web page/ app/ entry field to the fill screen mode where the keyboard takes up half the screen and the other half is a separate input screen, not the web page view.

Hi.
As keyboard I am using "Hackers Keyboard". 4 Row only.
I'd like to use HK as a full screen keyboard in Landscape mode, meaning in Landscape there should be only the keyboard (big) and a textbox where I am writing currently. I Portrait it should be "normal" keyboard and everything else visible (textbox, background, other text, etc).
How can I achieve that the keyboard is "big with textbox" in Landscape?
Currently it does the same as in Portrait, big keyboard and a little gap between keyboard an the upper screen. On some apps, this is not enough to display a textbox. On others it is enough.
Hi forums,
TL;DR: Could turning up the color-settings in TricksterMOD cause burn-ins?
I recently got my GNex and after fixing the SIM-tray making the phone usable again I of course unlocked the bootloader and flashed ROMs and Kernels (atm CM10.2 latest nightly + Franco kernel) and I use TricksterMOD to make some specific settings (like turning FSync off) and I also found Settings for screen colors, now what I did is just turn those sliders up all the way and set all other options (like Contrast and Gamma) to 0 (as seen on the attatchment), now I have an extremely vibrant and colorful display without this annoying blue-tone everywhere, even whites look more natural now but I've seen some AMOLED-Phones (specifically 2 GS2s from friends) that have things like the Status Bar or the keyboard burned in into the Display and now I worry that that could maybe happen to my Phone as well because of the settings.
I'd like to know your experience and if you think that that's possible, if so I'll turn them down even though I really really love this display now, it's literally the best display I've ever owned (and I have two IPS Monitors in front of me right now)
I'm using a completely black theme over most of the Phone (black status bar of course, black keyboard, black menu-elements, dark backgrounds, saves Battery and looks insanely awesome on this display) that should prevent burn in's from for example the keyboard since black pixels are not lit, but I want to know if it's more likely if the display is brighter due to the settings.
Sry for this long post but you've got the short version at the top if you don't want to read everything
Thanks for your time and help in advance!
