Hello guys,
Is there a way to change the amount of rings before the incomming call
is diverted to voicemail or whatever?
My XDAlls only rings about 3 or 4 times, i never have time to get the phone from my pocket or from another room before i loose the chance to awnser.
Another small question,
i use a 02 pay as you go sim, and after any call (out going) i get a cool pop-up displaying the remaining call credit.
the pop-up is a few seconds after a call has finished but the problem is this allways switches the XDAlls back to the phone screen.
Is there a way to fix this?
On your first question, the answer is yes (or most probably, depending on your operator).
You can find GSM codes on the internet somewhere. They're usually in the format of *#something#.
Waaaaaay back , before phones had cool things like menus and screens with more than one line, you had to type these things in yourself to set things like voicemail, forwarding, and so on...
On your second question, I doubt it's possible, but can't be sure.
divert after x unanswered rings: **61*phone number you divert to**2#yes
Sorry this should be:
divert after x unanswered rings: **61*phone number you divert to**2x#yes
Extend Ring Tone Duratiion
Extending Ring Tone Duration
To extend your ring tone, dial the following code:
** 61* YOUR prefix 5 your 7 digit number ** 30# and send. E.g. **61*086 5 1234567**30#
You can extend your ring tone for 5, 10, 20 and 30 seconds. The last number in the code above dictates ring time. In the example above, 30 was used as an example.
Lots of GSM service codes, including the one mentioned above, are documented here.
Steps:
1. find ur voicemail number (not ur mob number)!
2. so suppose ur voicemail no is: +447743888888, then
3. on the XDA fone scree, type in: **61*447743888888**30#
(the **30# at the end will set it to a 30seconds delay b4 it goes to ur voicemail)
4. click send/talk
5. wait for a few seconds
6. DONE!

Hey everyone, I've searched the thread and hope I'm not the only one experiencing this problem with the Dopod WM6 Rom.
This happens every time I'm on a call and go to my notes to type info, the numeric keys 0-9 activate and I only get numbers when pressing them, and not the alphabetic characters, as soon as I end the call the keyboard returns back to normal.
Any suggestions?
Many people are aware of this problem and currently, there is no fix for it yet.
Some people were saying it isn't a bug, but it was intentionally made so the numbers input during a phone call when your phone is open to dial other numbers. You can always use the on-screen keyboard to type.
Thanks, guess we'll just have to wait then
Hi all,
I wanted to ask you if there is any way to get some kind of confirmation before making a new phone call. It happens to me quite often that I tap accidentally on contact in HTC phone dialer (or sometimes it does the same when my PDA wakes up in my pocket) and it will start to dial the number immediately. I like the way how original MS dialer is doing it - it will at least display a window with contact information where you can select between different phone numbers. I know how to change the phone skin to MS dialer, but when using MS dialer sking you are not able to adjust phone volume when call is established.
Do you have any tips and trick how to avoid accidental calls?
Thx!
Why don't you just keep your handset locked?

Ok, I will test S2U2 and see if this tool is what I need. Thanks.

for me i am very fine with HTC dialer with IPC black skin
Has anyone else besides me had a lot of mistaken calls because the phone decides to go to the contacts lists after a call ends? It's happened to me at least three times today.
In older versions of Android, you had to tap a contact's name, which took you to another page, which had a small phone icon to call. or a long press brought up a menu. In ICS, just touching a name in the contacts list makes a call. It's kind of frustrating that I have to be extra careful after a call now, and manually back out of the list.
So, is there a way to make it go home after a call ends? What kind of hackery would this require to the dialer apk?
Hy guys, i have a strange isue with my N2. It calls on its own a specific number from my contacts list. And when i call that number i have a green icon showing on call screen with the mention 2 days..., like there is some timer set. I searched the forum and the net but couldnt find an answer. What setting is this and how do i turn it off? Auto redial is set to off. Anyone know?
I'm on stock rom perseus kernel.
Edit: the green icon notifies me about the upcoming birthday set on that person contact.
But the call coming from me is still an issue. And that call doesnt appear in my journal, only on that person's phone. I have to see if it's not a problem with the other phone. Not a smart one, but Samsung.
Edit 2: problem solved (i guess). I made a call about 10 hrs before the person received it. Probably a cell/connection/network issue. That is why there was no log on that person phone about my call at the time i made it nor on my phone at the time it was received. Strange thing!
Hi! Since my Note 4's Lollipop update last week, I am very frustrated with what the dialer does during outgoing calls (not using HD calling right now). After I make the call, the call screen disappears into the notification bar and I have to swipe down (being careful not to touch the sensors that make the screen go black) to get the dialer back on the screen. This is really a pain when I need the keypad. I really just want the dial screen to stay on the screen full size. I can't seem to figure out how to do this after much Googling (maybe because people don't think it's a problem...but it's a very annoying problem for me!). Any ideas on how to fix this? Many thanks! Amanda PS...Incoming calls are fine...dial screen stays full size on the screen.
Welcome to the lollipop group! I am using sip accounts and when I dial, the dialer asks me whether I want to use my phone operator or one of the sip accounts. After I choose I have no dialer left.
If i swipe back to the dialer tab in the phone application, I can see 3 options:
x use touch tone keypad
< return to call screen
+ add call
and if i select "return to call screen" i can see again the dialog that asks me which phone to use for the outgoing call (while i'm still calling or even talking with the other side)
Google don't care about this, they're probably looking to phase out "internet calling" since they have their own competing product now (hangouts).
