Reset to cradle and more

I'm in serious need of help - i tried to upgrade my sx56 to the 4.00.05 with voice command and now i can't get the back light on, i've got no phone and i can't even get the usb connection to notice the unit.
HELP - what do i do to fix this problem
thanks
Can you get to the bootloader? If it was only the operating system that you flashed you should be able to recover it. You will need an sd/mmc card, a card reader/writer and xdatools. All the info is here on the forum. You can download a rom from www.yorch.net and choose at the bottom of screen "sd card flashing".
forgive my ignorance but where would i find the bootloader and i unfortunately don't have a sd card as yet - i've been looking into that guess i'll be gettng one pretty soon
may i assume that this will resolve the issue that my usb connection is not even recognizing that my unit exists
thanks
robin
hey cruisin-thru, i have just purchased a 256 card - will i be able to resolve this problem or am i totally screwed
thanks
Hi ...
since ur gonna flash ur XDA with SD i may advice you to get a newer ROM than 4.00.05. i recommend either TMO 4.01.00 or A30.09. both you can get cooked at Stefan kitchen at lumpistefan.dyndns.net
once you cook the ROM as .nbf file and download it, u will need SD reader/writer for ur PC. move the file to the SD card and insert it into ur XDA. if it asks u to format it just press NO.
goto the bootloader by pressing and holding the power button while soft reset. it should recognize the card content and ask u to press the action key .... enjoy ur new ROM!
note: if u still want the 4.00.05 ROM, use winzip or winrar to open the exe file and extract the .nbf file and follow the above steps.
good luck ...
thank you for your assistance - i've just purchased the card reader/writer and am about to transfer the .nbf file over
you indidated going to the 4.01.00, can you tell me what difference there is between the different roms
thanks again for all your help
robin
Hi ...
Mainly the diferences are bugs that are fixed in old versions like some issue with the back light, SD card erasing, self rebooting ... etc.
A30.09 is perfect except it has an annoying sound issue and has no extras at all ... that's why I prefer TMO 4.01.00
BTW, I noticed that I just misspelled the kitchen address ... it's http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/

[Q] Mass storage or MTP on bricked E-975

Hi! I've got some questions about e-975.
Firstly - I am noob in LG smartphones, i bought it, because of price and performance.
Secondly - Sorry for my poor english.
I've bricked it today (i don't know what i did wrong, all seemed ok, because while i freegeed my phone there were only "out of space" errors, so it's normal, backup folder was created in FreeGee direction and boot images were there too).
1. When I rebooted my phone after FreeGee'ing , phone stuck on LG logo- is it soft-brick right?
2. I don't want to reflash my phone with loss of all data, is it possible to turn on mass storage or mtp mode in any way? (I would to copy Titanium Backup folder from my phone, i need saved progress of games that i play xD )
3. Do i have to flash this big KDZ file or whether can i use "TeenyBin" for fix my brick phone (i would rather use TeenyBin because of my poor connection speed - 384kbps - yes, you can laugh because of it , but i don't know ,does it will work).
I hope that someone will help me, or if there is similar topic, someone will enlight me and will help my anyway.
Thanks in advance
EDIT:
I've unbricked my phone Moderators, please delete this thread.
Hi, i am facing a similar problem..i have a bricked symbian phone and i have some data on it which i want to retrieve.I want to connect it to pc via mass storage as my pc is not recognizing it. How do i do it..can you tell me how you managed to unbrick it or connect to the pc? Thanks
LGNPST app for softbrick just search it on xda forum or google

G4 boot loop, really need to recover data

My G4 818P went to a boot loop yesterday. Found that it's usual hardware problem for that model.
LG service is ready to replace motherboard for free.
But in that case I will lose all my data on internal storage, whereas I can still see and touch it.
What I found at the moment:
I can't use Recovery mode as the model still have locked bootloader
can boot in *Download mode*, and run `Send_Command.exe` (used in the rooting procedure for LG devices)
The last thing allows me to sent some unix-like commands to the phone body, I can see all the files on the Internal SD (/data/media/0), can even see their content in the console using `cat` command. The problem is that I can't copy them outside the phone. External SD can't be mounted. At least I don't know if `mount` command blaming since STDERR is not available.
In addition:
I found a @jacob019 version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60557353&postcount=454) of `Send_Command.exe`, hoping to modify it to extract the data somehow;
Another option I found is eMMC Raw Tool, which works with download mode to copy phone partitions on many Qualcomm-based devices, but it doesn't see my phone.
Really appreciate any ideas or help!
Anyone?
Ready to pay for any help. Thank you!
go to a phone service? locally? they have more experience with this kind of stuff and can easily solve it.
Eventually, I found the solution for the problem.
I could download full internal memory by using a hardware module called Octopus (http://octopusbox.com/eng/news/details/572). I hired it in a phone service.
It creates an image file of whole the partitions on the phone. Later you can use it with R-Studio to get access to different partitions and files.
Hi @carmalius - I have hit a similar problem. My H818P has died and not able to boot. Could you please provide details as to how you were able to recover data.
Thanks a lot in advance....

Can't tranfer apk/exe files

Like title says N8P doesn't let me to tranfer apk or exe files from PC to internal memory/SD neither through windows explorer or HiSuite. Tranfer start then stop after about 30-40%, phone disconnect and connect again to PC. For example I tried to tranfer a GCamera for N8P apk (from this forum) to SD card to install it. It's any protection somewhere i must remove it?
ThankYou!
My best guess is that your cable is damaged. Next would be something with HiSuite, however I can't comment on that since I never used this peace of software.
You could try:
- use adb for file transfer (if it still doesn't work cable damage)
- another cable
If you need to transfer an apk to your phone why don't you just download it directly to your phone. Unless you're developing yourself you should be able to get anything directly to the phone.
It's something with apk and exe files because I can transfer everything else. For example videos over 1Gb, pictures, anything. But if it's apk or exe it happens what I said even if have 20Mb
Sure, I can find other ways to do this. I did it through google drive. I just wander if it have any protection?
