How can I stop the phone program cprog.exe from grabbing my audio control ? for eg. If IU am playing a mp3, & I receive a phone call then my mp3 player stops.

one is waveform device, provide sound service for multimedia applications, or sth. like this. another is GSM audio device.
I dont know detail about GSM audio device. And I want to know what is it? how to change its volume in program?
Thanks in advance!!!
I also want to know, sometimes during a call, I want to play some MP3 sound to let the other party hear it,, but unfortunately, Windows mutes all output sounds when a call is in progress
Is there any solution for this?

Okay,
Maybe it's just me but I started off with the Pocket PC Phone SX-56 and when listening to the Windows Media Player through the headphones and a call came in the phone would ring in my earphones, the Player would pause, and after I hung up the phone the Media Player would start playing again. Pretty straight forward, it worked the way it should.
Then I got the MDA II, and then when a call came in while I had on the headphones, the phone would ring in the headset but after I hung up the call, I had to go into the Media Player and manually press play again. Step backward number one.
Now I have the XV6600 (XDA IIs, SX66) and guess what? Now when I get a call and I have on the headphones with Media Player plaing, the phone doesn't even ring in the headset. I can tell a call is coming in because there's a pause in the music. I still have to go into the Media Player and unpause it when I hang up the call. Step backward number two.
Does anyone know how to change setting to get it to work as it did in the SX-56. The folks at Audiovox are clueless.
I have the XDAIIs and it does ring in my headphones when I get a call. Though I have the same experience with Media Player not playing again afterwards. I understood this to be a feature of Windows PPC.
There is a music player that does offer this facility (called something like betaplayer) but, after I installed it on my ppc and played some mp3s from the SD card, the card got corrupted so I uninstalled it and haven't had the problem since.
Hi,
give Mort Player a try, http://sto-helit.de/freeware/pocketpc/mortplayer/en/index.pl
Great program, the programmer has an xda2s too, and the program is freeware !!!
To my mind the best media-player on the market!
have fun!
Hi
Has anyone tried these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3274&item=5751802602&rd=1&ssPageName=WD2V
as they also have a microphone in them

Yes, I'm using it with my O2 XDA II.
Sound quality is fantastic especially when you're using another player like GSPlayer which allows you to adjust the effects such as 3D, surround, bass, echo, reverb, equalizer etc etc
Search for other threads here and you'll see other comments
Thanks FOSA for your reply
I will search and see what i can find.
If you are useing your to listern to music, and the phone rings can you easly answer the phone useing the headphones, than after the call return to listning to the music
Thanks
John
RE
Hi!
Yes, you can.
However, depending on which software player you're using the music may not resume from the last location after you end the call ie. the music could be continuously playing in the background while you're talking.
So, if you want to resume the music from its last location after ending your call look for music player that supports this feature. I think MortPlayer supports this.

The sound is fine through the speaker, but on two sets of 'phones, there is a slight click or pop when I start an mp3 or something, although I can also hear the static-type click when I push the start button.
No pop/click when using external speakers at all EDIT: I can hear the pop/click through the speaker as well, just more faintly as I have the volume lower.
This doesn't happen on my old Tosh e400.
As I bought this to use it on the tube as an mp3 player / book reader / phone, I am kind of desperate to find out the cause and fix it.
I tried 2 different mp3 software players in case it was that, and I have tried the registry key tweak (Priority256) as well.
I am on the 1.31 with all O2 stuff cancelled on a hard reset. Was there anything to do with this in the O2 extended ROM? I have manually installed all the non-O2 stuff (I think) from my Extended ROM folder, and left the O2 stuff out.
Please help, this is twisting my melon!
Thanks,
Joe
EDIT #2: I did another hard reset and just allowed the O2 stuff to install. Crack and pop still present. Are there any different drivers or audio setups I could try?
Ok, nobody answering that post so let me rephrase my questions:
1. If you listen REALLY carefully, can you hear a slight static pop when you begin playing an mp3 or playing any other sound (may have to use earphones to detect it). If so I think I can live with it - just don't want to be the one with the 'duff' XDA IIs.
2. Do the ROMs have anything to do with how audio is played? Are there drivers for the playing of audio in the ROMs? Could I try other ROM's out, if so, then which ones?
sounds to me like its hardware related, also have you tried a new set of earphones???
i had this problem and it was sorted with new earphones....
you could try a rom upgrade or downgrade to see if your rom is duff!!, but i doubt that will work./.... 8)
year sounds to me that its hardware related. you know that the head phone input is a different size to standard headphones. if your using a converter then this may be the cause of the problem.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Update to my problem:
1. Tried 2 pair of phones. Both have the static.
2. Static (I am calling it this now as it is like static from an old record player, only more faintly heard) appears throughout playing music or sounds on both the internal speaker and through the external headphones.
3. Tried without the 3.5>2.5 headphone adapter and the same result.
4. New finding!! If I play an mp3 and press the red end call button, a flurry of static type sounds is briefly heard over the top of the music.
Can I ask if anyone gets the static/funny sounds when pressing the red end call button during music playing with the windows media 9 application?
Whenever I listen to music through wired headphones, there is always some sort of disturbance sound in the background while playing. I have tried multiple types of headphones, I have tried multiple types of adapters for 3.5mm headphones.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem while listening to music through a wired headset? The sound is subtle, but it drives me crazy!
I think that it is a problem with the driver- is there a different audio driver for the Rhodium?
I highly doubt that it is just me experiencing this because I have heard the same annoying sounds on my friend's computer speakers, and sometimes on my computer speakers too. (and yes, other people can hear the sounds too )
I really hope someone can help me out here, thanks
Are you using the HTC music player, Media Player, or a 3rd party app?
Is the sound present on various songs?
I haven't noticed any type of background noise on my Tilt2, and I listen to music on it quite a lot. But I don't have headphones right now to check (if its something I just haven't noticed before).
Can you describe the sounds more? High pitched or low? Constant tone, or comes and goes, or repeats?
I have a TMOUSA TP2. It is persistent in any audio that comes out via a wired headset. It doesn't matter which music player I use. I have tried Windows Media, Nitrogen, TF3D Music Tab, and CorePlayer.
I have a problem with my gnex. After using a bluetooth headset, I lost almost all sounds.
What is not working
Media sounds like game sounds or music playback, Mic, Earpiece
Whats working
Alarms, Phonecalls through speakerphone.
Also I noticed that when I raise the media volume, I get the warning for destroying my ears that I used to got only through a headset.
What I tried
Flash stock rom down to 4.1, Flash a stock radio, Flash a lot of different kernels.
The only solution I got is through a 3rd party application (SoundAbout) that lets you choose how to redirect sound.
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/mobile/CgSIugq7qiE
But this hasn't solve my problem, is just a workaround. I can not understand how is it possible to be a software problem but not be solved by an installation of a different rom+radio+kernel
Any comments ?
